Dr. Kristie Fong, Chiropractic and Ergonomics

Dr. Fong is a holistic Chiropractor and adjusts the spine as well as extremities. The methods used by Dr. Fong are very gentle, and she encourages an environment of open communication so that treatment is effective and always within her patient’s comfort zone. She is different from the typical Chiropractor in that in addition to addressing misalignments, she also optimizes your body’s performance by addressing stability and muscle function.

On your first visit with Dr. Fong, she will perform a thorough examination and interview to determine the best course of care for you. Most patients receive an adjustment during the first visit, and will likely go home with postural exercises to start on immediately to speed the healing process.

Mat classes are designed to strengthen and tone the body’s core muscles using Pilates fundamentals, barre method techniques, and foot-to-core sequencing. These classes combine strength and flexibility training, while also focusing on flow of movement. Students will learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core. The instructor may use props like bands, weights, ball, or the “magic” circle.

What is Reflexology?

Do you have foot pain, hand tension, neck tightness, back ache, indigestion, problems sleeping, cramps, plantar fascilitis, headaches, stress or other issues?

Reflexology accesses maps representing the body which we believe exist on the feet, hands, and ears. Using gentle and relaxing touch techniques, which differ from massage, reflexology assesses stress cues in the feet, hands, and ears, which may indicate stress in the body. With her years of experience, Robin helps to ease the stress, reduce the pain and promote the healing process.

Research shows Reflexology can be effective on:

  • Stress reduction, profound relaxation, for all parts of the body
  • Pain reduction and pain elimination, such as the neck, shoulders, lower back and jaw
  • Improved circulation resulting in better oxygen and nutrients supply to all body cells
  • Detoxification
  • Improved organ and gland function
  • Increased range of motion
  • Feeling better, greater productivity, enriched quality of life
